Question

Can someone tell me how to remove the glue that someone reeked havoc with on the back of this bracelet without harming the lucite or plastic?  I think it is lucite. Cynthia Fiore Miller

Suggestions

I have had some luck removing globs of glue from around the edges of cabochons with diluted vinegar. I remove the cabs first and then soak them in the solution for a few minutes - the glue lifts right off.  ssgillette9813

I would not use anything other than soap and water on Lucite. Usually I use rubbing alcohol to remove extra glue but don't do this on plastics - especially Lucite!!! I would actually just scrape it with a dental pick and then remove the glue blobs with tweezers. You could soak the stone in soapy water first to loosen it some but I actually prefer to scrape it when the glue is more brittle. It comes off in bigger chunks that way. Hope this helps!
