Wonderful 1940's unsigned beauty! This nautilus shell demi-parure tests for sterling - gold vermeil. It is reminescent of McClelland Barclay's nautilus shell design however, this set is open cut and has many clear pave rhinestones.
Upon very close inspection with a 10x jewelers loupe there is evidence of discoloration of several rhinestones on the brooch. From a distance these stones are not noticeable. The rhinestones on the screw back earrings are in better condition. If you want to try your hand at restoring this set, I have included a few sizes of faceted clear rhinestones for your convenience. It will be worth your while.
This lovely 1940's demi-parure is priced accordingly.
