Wonderful 1940's brooch by Walter Lampl. It is a combination pin and pendant. Dimensional in design - the back layer has faceted oval blue rhinestone "petals" open backed and the top layer is in pink. The center stamens are smoked rhinestones. Marked 1/20 12K and WLampl. Measures 1 3/4" in diameter.
 
In 1921 when Lampl was 26 years old he founded a wholesale jewelry company at NY's 47th Street with his wife and son. Lampl's jewelrywas quality made usaing sterling, gold filling, and quality stones. Walter Lampl passed on at tyhe early age of 50 in 1945. The business eventually closed in 1959.
